What is Design Fabric Low-Res (DFLR)?
The Design Fabric Low-Res (DFLR), is India's first ever student program. The program unites schools, colleges and universities from across the country towards a common interest in pushing forward the industries of art and design.
For DFLR 2017-18, we will pick 12 students from across 4 different streams – Graphic Design, Illustration, Photography, Motion Arts + Animation – who will be invited to collaborate with Design Fabric on its projects. These 12 students will be chosen based on a review of their portfolio by some of the smartest design and visual art talent in the country.
How can I be a part of DFLR?
If you’re a student currently enrolled in full-time education and based in India, you can apply to be selected amongst the 12 students for the batch of 2017-2018.
All you have to do it apply online using the application form and send us your updated portfolio.
All the applications will then be judged by our panel, consisting of some of India’s most renowned artists and designers.
Based on their reviews, we will announce the 12 names who will go on to create work with us.
Will this be a paid opportunity?
Yes. The top 12 selected students will be paid a stipend.
What kind of projects will I be working on?
The top 12 selected students will work collaboratively with Design Fabric on projects for the following companies:
* Taxi Fabric
*Asian Paints Colour Next
* Only Much Louder
* AIB – All India Bakchod
and many more, TBA.
Who will judge my portfolio?
All the applications we receive will be judged by our panel. The DFLR 2017-2018 panel includes:

What value can I gain out of DFLR?
It is our aim to ensure that the DFLR program adds immense value to each and every student we pick. To that extent, we offer our top 12 students the following:
The opportunity to work on a project with Design Fabric and understand the workings and requirements of the design industry
Mentorship from some of the top names in the industry
Free entry to Design Fabric events for one year. (Please note: This does not include our workshops)
Merchandise that is specially created for DFLR by Adarsh Balak
The opportunity to meet fellow students at the DFLR Picnic.
